Michael Gabriel Kintu Kayondo aka Kin2 The Rapper – A man who is passionate about sobriety and overcoming addiction.
Michael Kayondo was born on 19th March 1986 in Rubaga Hospital at noon. He is an only child and his mother’s name is Miss Marietta Juko.
For his nursery school, he went to Kampala Kindergarten, then Kampala Parents’ School and Greenhill Academy for his Primary education. He finished from Kampala Parents’. He attended King’s College Budo for his O Level after getting an aggregate 4 in his Primary Leaving Examinations. He did his A Level from Aga Khan High School, Kampala.
It was in Aga Khan High School, 2004 that Michael picked up the habits of drinking, smoking and taking drugs. From then on till 26th March, 2012 when he finally overcame addiction to alcohol and marijuana, Michael was struggling with those habits.
He went to Nkumba University in August 2011. He was doing Information Technology, then changed course to Journalism, however, he soon dropped out because of drinking.
From March 2012, Michael has been absolutely sober and he writes about his struggles with addiction on social media. You can find him on all social media platforms as Kin2 The Rapper.
In May, 2020, Michael started his outreaches to people in the ghettos of Kampala on drugs. He inspires them with his story and gives them hope that they can quit taking heroin, cocaine and other substances, starting to live a normal and productive life.
