Chief Distilleries Limited is one of the leading manufacturers & exporters of alcoholic products in Uganda and producers of Chief Waragi Gin, Kikoto Vodka, Hero Vodka, Café liqueur, Blue moon Gin to name a few. The Company was established in the year 2002, located in the heart of Uganda, Kampala. Has strong sales channels with presence across Uganda including the remotest of villages.
The company has established state of the art and most sophisticated bottling lines, which are aimed at producing high standard quality products and comply with all UNBS guidelines. In 2019, Chief Distilleries was recognized with the Uganda Responsible Investment Award (URI AWARD) received during the 2019 High Level Uganda Responsible Investment Summit and Award ceremony presided over by H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni President of the Republic of Uganda.
The 2019 Uganda Responsible Investment Award (URI AWARD) summit and Award Ceremony was organized by Public Opinions on 22nd November 2019 and was presided over by H.E Gen Yoweri Kaguta Museveni President of the republic of Uganda and Hon Evelyn Anite minister of state for privatization and investment. It was held at Imperial Royale Hotel Kampala and over 600 CEOs and Business Leaders attended.
The Uganda Responsible Investment Award (URI AWARD) is offered to public and private sector companies or agencies which have made tremendous contributions towards attainment of Uganda Vision 2040 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).The Award is offered to public and private sector agencies which promote and uphold International best practices and standards as defined in various international protocols and conventions.
